Staging

On Friday we went to Pelham to think of ways we could do the staging so it looked good and it was practical to use for our show.
Personally, I thought the stage looked pretty good-(shown in pictures above), however, it wasn't very practical, because when we do the dance for the prologue, when we go down the stairs it was really loud.
We tried doing it quietly, however it just wasn't working, I think tomorrow when we go to Pelham we're going to try out different ways of having the stage so it isn't so loud.
Also, another problem with this staging is that it blocks the VIP audience's view of the people on the stage.

Gests

In this video we were doing our gests for the beginning of scene one. I think the trouble with my gests is that they're covering my face.

So, I'm going to explore different gests and see which ones will suit my character.

Scene 1

In this video it was the first time rehearsing with Jade in. We were also trying to think of ways of moving around the stage without it looking messy and crowed, and of course, practising our American accents. I think in this video I should have been more confident with my lines.

Prologue

http://youtu.be/vE73vkTpgrQ

In this video, we are trying to think of the rhythm of the prologue.
We have already decided what we're doing for the dance, but at the moment we keep talking at different speeds.

I personally found this particularly hard as I have no rhythm, so I had to really listen to the speed of what people were talking at.
When we rehearsed it after the video, I was still talking to hard, so I had to say it again a lot slower.
When I got home, I kept practicing.
When we did it again, I realised that I was still talking too fast, so Max gave me the idea of leaving a half beat in between each word, which helped me say my lines a lot slower.
